Read on to see today's analysis by CanesTime.com's Mike Bakas on the latest happenings surrounding the University of Miami football team.

The Hurricanes will play at Duke at 1 pm EST today as a relatively healthy football team. Following last week's embarrassing loss to Florida State, the Canes had a good week of practice leading up to today's game.

Jacory Harris should have enough early success and Miami should get a big enough lead to enable the Canes to use backup Spencer Whipple a lot in the second half. A.J. Highsmith is unlikely to play in this game because of injury, which means Whipple could end up getting a lot of fourth quarter reps.

Damien Berry should have little problem going over 100 yards in yet another game. Lamar Miller is questionable with a shoulder injury and probably won't play in such a game. Expect Mike James and freshmen Eduardo Clements and Storm Johnson to receive a lot of second half carries in this game.

The Hurricanes have been using four primary receivers this season when the game's still on the line. The next four have played sparingly and one of the four, Tommy Streeter, won't be playing today because of injury. Hopefully Kendal Thompkins, Davon Johnson, and Allen Hurns get lots of second half reps.

Joel Figueroa will not play today because of injury, which will give freshmen Seantrel Henderson and Jermaine Johnson more reps at right tackle. Look for Brandon Linder to play a lot at guard and for Jared Wheeler to get into the mix in the second half.

Josh Holmes won't play today because of injury, which hurts the depth at defensive tackle. Since Curtis Porter and Jeremy Lewis are already out, Miami is down to just three defensive tackles. Because of that, look for Allen Bailey to play some inside.

Ramon Buchanan has completely taken over as Miami's third linebacker, replacing Kylan Robinson. Look for Jordan Futch, Kelvin Cain, and Jimmy Gaines to receive lots of fourth quarter reps in this game.

The Canes have been using four cornerbacks for most of the season but look for Lee Chambers to get into the mix in this one. The same goes for freshman Kacy Rodgers at safety.

Miami is expected to win big over a very bad Duke team this afternoon and if that happens it should be able to empty the bench quite well in the second half. Watching the young players should be exciting.
