Desmond Ringer commits to South Carolina

South Carolina's Frank Martin picked up his first recruit for the 2013 class when three-star prospect Desmond Ringer made his commitment to the Gamecocks.

South Carolina got some good news Tuesday evening when three-star prospect Desmond Ringer made his commitment to Frank Martin and the Gamecocks.

Ringer made an announcement over Twitter indicating his commitment to South Carolina.

Ringer is the first commitment for Frank Martin in the 2013 class and chose the Gamecocks over Mercer. Ringer also had interest in Vanderbilt, Jacksonville State, Tennessee and a few other schools before choosing the Gamecocks.
