Glennon Earns Senior Bowl Invite

Raleigh, N.C. - NC State quarterback Mike Glennon has accepted an invitation to play in the 2013 Senior Bowl.

NC State quarterback Mike Glennon has accepted an invitation to play in the 2013 Senior Bowl.

The annual showcase of the top draft eligible players is set to be played at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 26 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. It will be televised by the NFL Network.

"I am excited about the opportunity to play in the most prestigious college all-state game," said Glennon. "Getting an invite to the game was a goal of mine, and I look forward to the week down in Mobile being coached by NFL coaches."

This season, Glennon led the ACC in passing yards per game (304.0), currently the second-best mark in school history. He also became the first Pack QB to throw for 30 or more touchdowns in two different seasons as he currently has 30 heading into the Dec. 31 Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl.

Glennon is the only quarterback in the ACC to have accounted for all of his team's passing yards this season, and one of just three to do so among BCS schools.

The Senior Bowl is the nation's most unique football game and football's premier pre-draft event, annually featuring the country's best senior collegiate football stars and top NFL draft prospects on teams representing the North and South which are coached by the entire coaching staffs from two National Football League teams.

Senior Bowl practices are also attended by over 800 general managers, head coaches, assistant coaches, scouts and other front office personnel from the 32 National Football League teams, making Mobile and the Senior Bowl the week-long host to a one-of-a-kind NFL Coaches Convention.
