Heels Host McClendon

With Will Grier's Wednesday verbal commitment to Florida, the North Carolina coaching staff shifts its focus to other quarterback prospects on its 2014 board. One such prospect unofficially visited UNC on Saturday – Jalan McClendon.

"The football coaches wanted to see me and I wanted to see a basketball game down there as well," McClendon said. McClendon, a 6-foot-4, 182-pound passer from Charlotte (N.C.) West Mecklenburg, has visited UNC twice previously – for a camp and a football game. Saturday marked his first live Tar Heel basketball game. "It was a nice game," McClendon said.
