The Hurricanes were unable to turn in a quality performance in their third and final game of the tournament today, losing to Indiana State in overtime.
Miami took a two-point lead into halftime, but the Sycamores were able to tie it just before the end of regulation. Jake Odum connected on a three-pointer with less than a second left on the clock in overtime for the game-winning shot.
Kenny Kadji paced the Hurricanes with 13 points, while Julian Gamble grabbed 11 rebounds in a losing effort for the Canes.
Kadji, Gamble, Shane Larin, Durand Scott, and Trey McKinnie Jones (starting for the first time this tournament) were the starters for the Hurricanes in this game.
The loss sends Miami to 8-3 on the season, now dealing with its first two-game losing streak of the season. It will return home next Wednesday to take on LaSalle.
