Dabo has special message for Gallman
The 1-on-1 sit-downs with Swinney are standard for official visitors. And they usually yield a few notable tidbits.
Gallman's was no different.
"[Swinney] told me a lot of good things. There was actually something he said that I'm going to have to live up to, which means that I'm going to have to work before I get there and when I'm there, so I've got a lot ahead of me," he told CUTigers on Sunday.
Gallman added, "He said that I am a very special player. My coach actually told him, [Swinney] is getting the best one he has from our school.
"That's something I'm going to have to live up to."
Gallman currently checks in as the No. 40 running back in the class of 2013, according to Scout.com.
His official trip to Tigertown was a good one.
"Every time I visit, it gets better and better. Just the campus, the coaches, they make everything a whole lot better," he said. "Every time I come up there, it's a family-like atmosphere, because I'm so used to being around those people. It's getting better and better."
D.J. Howard served as Gallman's host for the weekend. They spent plenty of time this weekend with the other running backs, Roderick McDowell, Zac Brooks and Tyshon Dye.
"It was real fun. It was really like a brotherhood. I had a really good time. Tyshon and I hung out a lot. I learned a whole lot more about those guys. I had a good time," Gallman said.
