Miami's dream season continues on the basketball court. The Hurricanes improved its record to 17-3 overall, and 8-0 in the ACC by holding onto a one-point win over NC State.
For the second straight game, the Hurricanes trailed at halftime. Down six, the Canes went out in the second half and did just enough to hold on for the win that happened in front of 19,557 fans on the road.
All five Hurricane starters were in double digit in points -- Durand Scott 18, Julian Gamble 16, Reggie Johnson 15, Shane Larkin 13, and Kenny Kadji 13. Johnson also led the team with eight rebounds.
NC State, which went to 16-6 on the season with the loss, was led by C.J. Leslie. He scored 18 points and grabbed 12 boards for the Wolfpack.
The Hurricanes will need to improve their free throw woes if they'd like their winning streak to continue. Miami shot just 69-percent from the line in this game.
The Canes will be inching closer to the Top 10. They will return home to take on Boston College this Tuesday.
