Signing Day Profile: OL Alex Gall

It's official. OL Alex Gall has signed with the Miami Hurricanes. Read on to learn more about him.

Player: OG Alex Gall

School: Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller

Recruiting: Gall landed several scholarship offers from schools like Kentucky, Louisville, Cincinnati, and West Virginia before getting one from Miami last spring. He visited the school over the summer, committed in June, and never visited anyone else after that.

Scouting Report: Gall played both tackle and guard at the prep level but projects as a guard in college. He's a big, strong, physical kid who brings a lot of toughness and intelligence to the position. – Mike Bakas

2012 season: Gall played right tackle for a team that went on to win the state championship. He was an All-State performer.

Mike's Take: One of the things I really like about Gall is that he comes from one of the top prep programs in the Midwest. He's used to playing in a competitive environment. He's used to winning championships. He's well-coached. He has good football IQ. A tackle in high school, Gall will make the switch to playing guard in college. I'm a bit surprised Ohio State or Michigan or Notre Dame never offered, but that's a good thing for the Canes.
