Player: WR Stacy Coley
School: Oakland Park (Fla) Northeast
Recruiting: Coley took recruiting visits to Florida State, Ole Miss, and Miami. It came down to the Noles and Canes, and he announced for UM on NSD.
Scouting Report: Coley has the tools to be a number one receiver on the next level. He is a very fluid wideout with speed, a quick burst off the ball, and great body control. He can be a homerun threat down the field and make a big play in space as a wideout or return man. He is still very thin and he needs to add weight and strength, but that will come in time. He can run more crisp routes as well. In the end, he can be as good as he wants to be. - Chad Simmons
2012 season: Coley finished his senior season with over 700 yards receiving and eight touchdowns. He played in the Under Armour All-American Game after the season.
Mike’s Take: This is a huge last minute get for the Hurricanes. Florida State was considered the leader since day one, so they legitimately changed his mind. At 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, he’s the state’s most talented wide receiver prospect and has a chance to be a real difference maker from day one. He could have a similar impact as a true freshman that Amari Cooper had at Alabama in 2012.
