Barker Makes His Choice

Four-star quarterback Drew Barker from Hebron (Ky.) Conner announced his commitment today and is headed to the SEC.

Four-star quarterback Drew Barker made his commitment today, announcing his intentions to attend the University of Kentucky at a press conference at his school.

He chose the Kentucky over multiple scholarship offers, but had his list narrowed down to Tennessee and South Carolina as well.

"Kentucky, they're my home state school. They've been selling me really hard. They've done basically everything they can to get me there, sending me over 100 letters multiple times. They really let me know I'm their number one priority so that's pretty cool and then the new offense Coach Brown is bringing in and the recruits they have, they have some momentum right now."

Barker attending the Wildcat spring game, saying, "I thought it was great who the fans came out the way they did. What surprised me most was the Cat Walk. I had been to one before and there was like no one there. So for the spring game it was packed on both sides and winding around with such a great atmosphere."

The 6'3, 205-pound Barker is currently ranked as the nation's number seven quarterback and a four-star prospect. Recommended Stories
