Dawgs offer 2016 CB

Kristian Fulton

The first offer is in the books for Archbishop Rummel (Metairie) 2016 corner Kristian Fulton...

Kristian Fulton impressed Louisiana Tech recruiter Jabbar Juluke during the spring eval period.

"He likes that I'm a big corner and how I do nice in coverage," Fulton said. "I was behind two older starters last year, but I got some reps and (Juluke) watched me practice."

Fulton's older brother, 2014 RB Keith Fulton, made a ton of plays last fall for Rummel head coach Jay Roth, as the Raiders recorded a sterling 14-0 mark en route to capturing the Class 5A state title over Barbe.

"We should have a good team again," Kristian added. "We scrimmaged yesterday and the defense did good with some forced turnovers."

Miami, Florida, Alabama and Oregon are four more early schools of interest for the younger Fulton.

"I'm going to a few camps," he said, "but I'm not sure which ones yet."

Georgia Tech was mentioned as a desirable summer stop for Fulton, who will team up with 2014 S Dwayne Eugene and 2014 CB Henre' Toliver on one of the nation's most formidable secondary units.

Rummel was ranked nationally at the close of the 2012 campaign.
