D-End Leaves Miami

Posted May 21, 2013

Sophomore defensive end Ricardo Williams is no longer a Miami Hurricane.

Ricardo Williams has decided to transfer from the University of Miami, and is no longer listed on the school's official roster.

Williams, 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, signed with the Hurricanes out of Homestead High School a few years back. After redshirting in 2011, Williams played in just one game as a redshirt freshman in 2012.

Williams got passed up by all the defensive ends on the current roster when the final spring depth chart was announced last month.

A former three-star recruit, Williams grew up a Miami fan but was never offered a scholarship under the Randy Shannon regime. Soon after Al Golden and his staff took over, Williams was offered by the Hurricanes and gave Miami his commitment not long after.
