Canes offer local WR

This local player landed several scholarship offers in the spring, and now he's added Miami to the list. Read on to learn about him as a prospect.

Tyre Brady says the Hurricanes offered him a scholarship earlier this week.

At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Brady plays at South Dade High in Homestead.

At the Under Armour Combine back in January, Brady clocked a 4.8/40 on one run and a 4.9/40 on another. He also jumped 31 inches on the vert, and did 9'3" on the broad jump.

Brady put his name on the recruiting map as a sophomore before moving to Texas for half of his junior season in 2012. He finished the year with around 500 yards and five scores out there.

Oddly, his first scholarship offer came from Florida State but it wasn't until late March. About a week later, Florida offered him.

Brady, who says he followed the Hurricanes growing up, was offered by Miami earlier this week. Schools like Mississippi State and Kentucky have also offered.

""(I'll be looking for) a school that I build a strong relationship with, a wonderful program, good academics, and just whatever school God wants me to go to."

Brady knows the area, he's been to the school a few times, and has been recruited by the Hurricane coaches for over a year now. There seems to be a lot of interest, and now that can be said of both sides.
