Malik Rosier hit the camp scene hard this summer, but he realized his top option was at a school that had offered this spring. The dual-threat committed to Miami on Tuesday night

Mobile (Ala.) Faith Academy quarterback Malik Rosier was one of the biggest spring risers in the state of Alabama among class of 2014 players, seeing his stock rise from unranked talent to BCS-level prospect.

The new three-star, considered currently as the No. 36 quarterback prospect nationally on, picked up arguably his biggest offer early in the spring when coaches from Miami saw him throw and let him know he had the extension.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound dual-threat continued to add offers later on, even camping in Coral Gables where he has family, but maintained the 'Canes as his leader until pulling the trigger on Tuesday night.

"He committed about an hour ago," said Faith Academy offensive coordinator Jason Rowell. "Miami was jacked."

Rosier, who registered over 3,000 yards of total offense and 32 total touchdowns as a junior in 2012, also had scholarship offers from Middle Tennessee, Southern Miss, Northern Illinois, Western Kentucky, Louisiana-Lafayette and Furman.

The dual-threat, who has been clocked consistently at 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash, and his family may take a trip down to Miami this weekend. Along with proximity to family in South Florida, another lure for Rosier to the program was the potential for him to play baseball at the next level in addition to football.

Highlights of Miami's newest offensive weapon can be seen below.
