Brandon Linder came to the University of Miami as a five-star recruit from St. Thomas Aquinas High in Fort Lauderdale.
It didn't take him long to jump into action. He's been a full-time starter for the last two seasons and is widely considered Miami's best lineman heading into the 2013 season.
Now, Linder appears on the Outland Trophy Watch List, an award given annually to the nation's most outstanding interior lineman.
Two former Hurricanes have won the award in the past. Russell Maryland did so in 1990 and Bryant McKinnie won it during Miami's 2001 championship season.
