Duke Johnson has been named to yet another watch list -- his fourth this preseason -- when he was named to the Walter Camp Watch List.
Given annually to the Player of the Year in college football, the Walter Camp Award has twice been in the Hurricane family. Vinny Testaverde won the award in 1986 and Gino Torretta won the award in 1992. Both players also won Heisman Trophies.
Johnson, a former five-star recruit, made a big impact right away as a true freshman in 2012. He finished the season with 2,060 all-purpose yards, which included 947 on the ground to go with 13 touchdowns. It was the best freshman season ever by a Hurricane running back, edging out a great freshman year by Clinton Portis back in 1999.
The watch list will be narrowed down to 10 players in November, and the winner will be announced as part of the College Football Awards Show on December 12th.
