On cutting off his dreads:
I got it done two weeks ago. I thought it was time for a change. I feel lighter now. I had them since sixth grade.
I had a lot of adversity. I had a lot of injuries and that always humbles and motivates you.
On his thumb:
I got it taped up. This is the best I’ve felt in a long time. I’m ready to compete. Everything is great. I’m ready.
On how he dealt with the injuries:
I just prayed and left it to God. At the end of the day I finished the season. I didn’t give up on my teammates. It’s much more serious now because it’s my last go-around.
On the newcomers:
We have a lot of guys. Stacy Coley came out doing good things, Artie Burns too. Stacy has a lot of speed and is very mature as a route-runner. I’m excited to see what he can do.
