Q&A with Herb Waters

Posted Aug 4, 2013

Read on to see what sophomore wide receiver Herb Waters is saying after two days of fall camp.

On fall camp:
I’m ready to grind. It’s a lot of hard work and dedication and working with Coach Swasey in the weight room.

On his weight:
I didn’t add a lot of weight but I improved my strength numbers a lot.

On what he’s trying to improve:
I wanna work and improve on every area of my game. Working with guys like Allen Hurns is really helping.

On Stephen Morris:
He helped us over the summer. Coming out here and giving us knowledge about our routes and coverages and stuff like that has helped.

On his own improvements:
I know the offense a lot better. I wanna keep practicing it so I can get it down like some of the older guys.

On the younger receivers:
We still working with them. We work every day, learning the defense. I feel like they’ll be ready to step on the field if they’re called on.

On Stacy Coley:
He’s a great receiver. He can come in and be a big part like I said. He’s fast. I’m pretty sure he’s up there.
