There are some good tight ends in the 2014 class, but the top overall tight end in the southeast may be in the class of 2015. Devonaire Clarington is that tight end and you can find out more about him here...

A couple of weeks ago, Devonaire Clarington participated in Friday Night Lights at Florida and he showed again why Scout is so high on him.

He caught everything thrown his way, he was very fluid in his routes, he was unable to be covered, and he cemented himself as an early top 10 prospect in the state of Florida.

Clarington liked what he saw in Gainesville and he actually grew up a fan of the Gators.

"I have visited UF before, but Friday Night Lights was my first camp there. As a kid I watched Florida and Florida was my favorite school. I loved their colors, the way they won, and their offense.

"I still have a lot of interest in Florida and I had a good time at the camp. I did not get a lot of reps, but when I got them, I think I did very well. I got a good bit of attention from their coaches and it was cool there," Clarington told Scout.

The Gators like over a dozen other top schools have offered the 6-foot-6, 220 pound junior tight end a scholarship.

Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame, South Carolina, and Tennessee are some of his other offers.

No favorites yet for the soon-to-be Scout 100 tight end.

Clarington is very athletic.
"I really do not have that one school up there right now," he said. "I am just looking at all of the different schools. I want to go to a school that will feature me as an athletic tight end. That is the biggest key for me. I will go to a school that features my position for sure."

Florida is still very much on his radar as is Miami and others, but his connection to an SEC school could come into play too.

"Gilbert Johnson is going to Georgia and we have talked about going to the same school. They have produced some top tight ends and I like that. I wouldn't say they lead, but I do like Georgia a lot. Me and Gilbert are very good friends, so we'd like to play college ball together."

At the end of the day, Clarington will make his own decision. The star out of Westminster Christian in Miami plans to take the recruiting process slow, examine his offers, and find the perfect school for him.

In the meantime, he is going to keep working on his craft as a tight end.

"I do not think you can find tight ends like me out there. I have great size, I can run, I can jump and catch the ball, and I think I am the kind of tight end that is hard to find.

"I have had a good summer and I am going to keep working to get better. I want to be the best in 2015."
