On playing USF:
It’s just a business trip for us. We have to go in there focused, make sure we’re sound, and not make mistakes.
On his first road trip:
I think it was Ohio State my freshman year. That was crazy, very loud. It was something I had to get used to, being in that atmosphere.
On what he tells younger guys making their first trip:
Just stay focused because there are a lot of distractions going on the road. Being a freshman, that can be a tough atmosphere.
On returning back to his hometown:
I’m excited. A lot of family members and high school teammates are gonna be there.
On how the offense is improving:
We are just learning to trust each other. We have to be able to trust each other when the game comes. I attribute that to the summer. We were around each other a whole lot. We can trust where guys will be. Like as running backs, we know the O-Line will do their blocking. We just go out and play Miami Hurricane football. As long as we play like that, we’ll be fine.
On whether USF recruited him:
They did. It’s a hometown school but I didn’t wanna go there. I had been in Tampa my whole life so I wanted to get away. I was about an hour away (from the school). I know a couple guys there.
On the win at USF two years ago:
It was a great win. We celebrated with the fans. We just had to come out with the win. The kicker ran in just like on Thursdays where we make it as loud as possible. He came through and we came through with the win.
