Kevin Olsen suspended

Freshman quarterback Kevin Olsen has been suspended from the team, according to reports.

Kevin Olsen was suspended the last time Miami took the field. He was then Miami's starting quarterback in the spring game. Now, he's suspended again.

According to FoxSports.com, Olsen has been suspended for at least one game due to a failed drug test.

Olsen came to Miami as one of the nation's top quarterback recruits two years ago. The younger brother of former UM tight end Greg Olsen, Kevin redshirted last season and was expected to backup Ryan Williams this fall.

Olsen became the team's starter after Williams was injured halfway through the spring. He will now miss at least the Louisville game.

It appears as though Jake Heaps is now the clear favorite to be the team's starting quarterback in the season opener. Incoming freshmen Brad Kaaya and Malik Rosier will be the backups.
