In a span of 7 days Thearon Collier dominated the Dade-Broward All-Star game and got to visit his future college destination. The Booker T. Washington standout talked to CanesTime.com about his thoughts on his exciting week.

“It was definitely a fun week,” said Collier. “The game was a great experience and the visit to Miami was amazing. The coaches showed a lot of love to me and my family. I got a chance to meet a lot of players. It was a good visit.”

Collier had 9 catches and 109 yards with two touchdowns in the Dade Broward All-Star game. His team lost 14-13, but Collier enjoyed his experience.

“The Dade Broward game was a great chance to measure yourself against other good prospects,” said Collier. “It was a good game and it helps you prepare for the next level. It showed me I still have a lot of work to do.”

The 3 star wide receiver went on his official visit with his mom and was hosted by Hurricanes’ wideout Ryan Hill.

“Ryan hill was my host,” said Collier. “He is a really awesome guy. He showed me a lot of things around the campus. He was telling me how different college football is and to just come in and work hard. It was fun to share this experience with my family.”

Collier was given a chance to see Dolphin Stadium and many of the other attractions that Miami has to offer but being on campus is what stood out.

“My favorite part of the visit was just seeing the campus,” said Collier. “I got a chance to hang out with a lot of the players there and check out the classrooms and stuff like that. It was good getting to see where I am going to be spending my next few years.”

The 5-foot-9 175 pound All-county selection also got a chance to meet with his future head coach.

“Coach Shannon just welcomed me to the university of Miami family,” said Collier. “We got a chance to hang out. He just told me to come in and work hard.”

Collier enters the University of Miami as a very polished prospect. His ability to make plays will give him the chance to contribute at Miami immediately.

“I have high goals and expectations for myself,” said Collier. “I want to come in play as a freshman and help the team win a national championship. I am going to work hard and try to earn playing time as fast I can.”

Collier remains a Hurricane commitment and his trip this weekend will be his only visit. He talked about what has him excited about becoming a Hurricane.

“ Miami is a great place,” said Collier. “You leave Miami with a good degree and they put a lot of guys in the NFL. I think I am a big time player. I feel like I can make a big impact at the University of Miami . I think I can help right away as a slot receiver.”
