Perry to Texas Tech

Former Miami defensive lineman Chris Perry, who left Miami after the fall semester, has found a new home, CanesTime.com has learned.

CanesTime has confirmed that former defensive lineman Chris Perry enrolled at Texas Tech last week for the spring semester.

Perry, who inked with Miami as a Texas prep standout, left the Hurricanes after his first year. He considered North Texas before enrolling in Lubbock.

Perry will be forced to sit out the 2008 season because of the NCAA transfer rules and will have three years to play three beginning in 2009.

Perry didn't play at all during the 2007 season for the Hurricanes.
