Two more 'Canes ink with NFL ball clubs

There are two more 'Canes that have officially come to terms with NFL teams as undrafted free agents. Read on to find out where they'll be playing.

On Monday, two more Miami Hurricanes officially came to terms with NFL teams.

Defensive lineman Vegas Franklin, the teams leader in sacks last season, with seven, has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to an undrafted free agent contract. Franklin recorded his best season as a Hurricane in his final season. Along with his seven sacks, he recorded 77 total tackles, 11.5 for loss, and 13 quarterback hurries.

Cornerback Glenn Sharpe has also found a new home - in Atlanta. The oft-injured Sharpe played in only six games last year however, was an NFL Draft combine invitee. He did not run the 40 yard dash, but listed 225 pounds 15 times and vertical jumped 37 inches. At the Hurricanes Pro Day, Sharpe bested the 40 with a 4.49 time which caught the attention of scouts.

Offensive linemen Derrick Morse and John Rochford as well as Willie Cooper, three players who played significant minutes this past year for the Hurricanes have not been reported to have signed with teams as of yet.
