Shannon comments on Nix's dismissal

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami head football coach Randy Shannon announced tonight that offensive coordinator Patrick Nix has been relieved of his duties effective immediately.

In making the announcement Shannon said, “It is my obligation to review all aspects of the program and make decisions as to how we can improve as a football team.”

Nix has been the Hurricanes offensive coordinator the past two years after working in the same capacity at Georgia Tech.
