Running back Lee Chambers, who didn't play against Virginia Tech after getting dinged up against Georgia Tech the week before, is listed as probable going into the game. Look for him to resume his role as the team's No. 3 running back and probably get a couple touches in the game.
The Canes will likely welcome back defensive tackle Marcus Forston and wide receiver Aldarius Johnson. Both are listed as probably, according to the latest report released by the University. Forston will add much needed depth at defensive tackle while Johnson will get back into the rotation at wide receiver.
Backup tight end Richard Gordon is listed as doubtful so don't look for him to play against the Sooners. He's never been much of a threat in the passing game but he's a solid blocking tight end so that role for someone like Jimmy Graham will again increase this weekend.
Fullback Patrick Hill has been ruled out for this game and that's a key injury for the Canes. Backup John Calhoun doesn't have much experience and probably won't play much in this game. Freshman running back Mike James, the team's biggest running back, will likely see some reps there. Don't be surprised if the Canes use more sets with both Javarris James and Graig Cooper in the backfield together.
Starting strong safety Randy Phillips has been ruled out of this game as well. With fellow safety JoJo Nicolas also out, the Canes are a little thin at safety going into this game. Vaughn Telemaque will start at free safety while some younger guys will see increased playing time this week, including Ray Ray Armstrong and Jared Campbell.
Defensive end Adewale Ojomo, who hasn't played yet this season, is still out and so is freshman Dyron Dye, who is expected to redshirt this season.
Freshman defensive end Gavin Hardin and freshman linebacker Shayon Green are both out for the season with injuries and haven't played at all this season.
