Spring Peek: QB
Brock Berlin

The most hotly contested position this spring is the definitely the quarterback spot. With Ken Dorsey under the helm the last few years the Canes offense ran like a well-oiled machine. Well, in 2003, this machine will have a new conductor. May the best man win.
Derrick Crudup
(6'1 210) has the most experience in a Hurricane uniform. Crudup is a run/pass threat who can make something out of nothing. Crudup must become a better decision maker and use better judgment. The junior is one of the top two candidates for the position. Crudup has an average arm to go along with his feet and must also improve his accuracy.
Brock Berlin
(6'0 210) is a fan favorite. Ever since transferring from
Florida
, Brock has been getting rave reviews for his scout team play and attitude. Brock sat out 2002 after leaving UF. Berlin, a junior, will battle Crudup, Guillon, and Wright for the signal-caller position this spring. Berlin is a heady player with all the intangibles needed to succeed.
Marc Guillon
(6'4 195) comes from the same high school as
Ken Dorsey
. Guillon saw a little game time last year as the 3rd string quarterback. Guillon will battle for a chance to start as well as a backup slot this spring. Guillion has a lot of tools, he just needs to continue to polish them.
Kyle Wright
(6'4 195) signed with the class of 2003. He graduated early and has been on campus since January. Wright has impressed with his physical skills particularly his arm strength and his mobility. Most feel Wright will be the next great Hurricane quarterback.
