| Buchanan has great speed and quickness. He is an explosive hitter with a superior closing speed. Buchanan can chase you down and play sideline to sideline. When he gets to the ball carrier he can flat out tackle and tackle with authority. Buchanan can also hold his own in the hole, defeat a blocker and make the play. Offensively he plays fullback and shows great skills on that side of the ball as well. |

| One of the state's top linebacker prospects for the Class of 2008, Buchanon is a tremendous fullback but it's on the defensive side of the ball where he projects in college. He made over 100 stops and had three interceptions as a junior and scored three touchdowns in his team's playoff loss.
Buchanan: "I'm a good tackler and can read the play well. I'm very aware and can read the quarterbacks eyes good. I have real good quickness and speed, but I want to improve my footwork. I want to change directions quicker and cut back faster."
