| Wells is one of the more intruiging prospects in the class with the way his body type has completely changed over the last year and he could project at a few positions on defense. Wells can be physical at the line of scrimmage as a defensive end to stand up his blocker or he can be quick enough to simply get around him. He has good use of his hands, though shedding is a problem at times. A high motor player and shows a high pain threshold. |
| Biography: |
| A standout defensive end as a junior, Wells will get the chance to show off his speed even more as a senior playing outside linebacker in a 3-4. Relatively new to the game of football, Wells has untapped potential; Wells finished his junior season with 52 tackles and 12 sacks. He benches 295 pounds, squats 410 and has a 33-inch vertical jump.
Wells: "I use my hands really well and can shed blocks. I use my speed and athleticism to get to the quarterback and make a lot of plays.
"I want to work on defending the run and my quickness, especially my initial get off speed."
