2007: Saw action in all 13 games, coming off the bench in basically every passing situation... started in the Humanitarian Bowl... his three forced fumbles ranked tied for seventh in the ACC and tied for 55th nationally... had 21 tackles including 11 solos... had 6.0 TFLs and 4.0 sacks... led the team with four QB hurries... led the team in blocked kicks (2)... forced three fumbles and recovered one.
2006: Second on the team with five sacks despite starting only one game... tallied 33 tackles, six tackles-for-loss, three forced fumbles and two pass break-ups.
2005: Against Connecticut, he forced a fumble on kickoff coverage that Tech recovered to set up a touchdown... had a sack against Virginia Tech... totalled six tackles on the season... saw most of his action on special teams... one of eight true freshmen to play in 2005.
High School: One of the nation's top prep tight ends... team captain and MVP for coach Richard Bush at Dallas County High... caught 42 passes for 650 yards and six touchdowns as a senior while making 92 tackles and 14 sacks... had 25 receptions for 300 yards and three touchdowns as a junior... also an outstanding basketball player, who averaged 16 points and 10 rebounds as a junior.
