Collins On Hold

Five-star running back Alex Collins (Plantation, Fla.) has yet to sign his National Letter of Intent with the University of Arkansas.

Five-star running back Alex Collins (Plantation, Fla./South Plantation) committed to the University of Arkansas on Monday night. He was scheduled to sign his National Letter of Intent (LOI) earlier today.

According to sources that were at the high school today, Collins mother was upset with his decision. Shortly after 11 a.m. she refused to sign the LOI and took Collins's paperwork and left South Plantation High School.

It's thought, according to sources, that his mother wants him to sign with the University of Miami.

Collins, 5-foot-11 and 207-pounds, is the No. 3 ranked running back in the Class of 2013.

We'll continue to look into it and have more information as it becomes available. Recommended Stories
