O'Donnell Named to Ray Guy Watch List

University of Miami senior punter Pat O'Donnell was named to the Ray Guy Watch List today, the school announced.

Patrick O'Donnell played college football at Cincinnati up until this past season. Following his junior season there, O'Donnell transferred to Miami and will play his senior season with the Hurricanes. Because he's already graduated and in grad school, O'Donnell is eligible to play immediately so he'll take over the team's punting duties this coming season.

Today, O'Donnell was one of 25 players named to the 2013 Ray Guy Award Watch List. The award is given annually to the nation's top punter.

O'Donnell, who attended high school in Palm Beach County, has been the starting punter for Cincinnati the last three seasons. In 2012, he averaged 41.8 yards per punt. In 2011, he averaged 43.8 yards per punt.

The winner will be announced on December 12th.
