Q&A with David Gilbert
We've just been getting better and focusing on the little things. It was a great game but we have to move forward and get better on the little things and polish up as much as possible.
On playing in a big game like that:
It was nothing new. I'm used to playing in those games against Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State. It was a different atmosphere. It was definitely nothing new though as far as jitters go. It's great to get a win for our team. We had a chance to make a statement.
On how he's coming along:
I am a lot more comfortable now than I have been. I just have to continue learning as much as I can from Shayon.
On learning this defense:
I switched defenses. All the things you think you know about the 4-3 are out the window. You just have to be a student of the game, and be locked in.
I am definitely expecting more snaps in this type of game. I am just going out there and trying to get better pass rush wise and stopping the run. You only get 14 of these a year. We don't control the opponent, only our effort.
